Matthew The Plumber (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides plumbing and heating services to residential and commercial customers across Bedford and surrounding areas.


2. Services

We offer a range of plumbing and heating services including (but not limited to):

  • Emergency plumbing repairs

  • Leak detection and repair

  • Boiler repairs and servicing

  • Bathroom installations

  • General plumbing maintenance

All work will be carried out with reasonable care and skill in accordance with UK consumer law.


3. Quotations & Pricing

  • All quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

  • Prices may vary if additional work is required.

  • We will inform you before carrying out any extra chargeable work.

  • Emergency call-out fees may apply.


4. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • We accept cash and bank transfer (details provided on invoice).

  • Late payments may be subject to additional charges.


5. Cancellations

  • You must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel an appointment.

  • We reserve the right to charge for late cancellations or missed appointments.


6. Customer Responsibilities

  • Ensure clear access to the work area.

  • Inform us of any known issues or hazards.

  • Ensure someone over 18 is present during the work.


7. Liability

  • We are fully insured.

  • We are not liable for pre-existing faults or issues not visible at the time of inspection.

  • We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses.


8. Guarantee

  • We offer a 12-month workmanship guarantee on completed work.

  • This does not cover misuse, lack of maintenance, or third-party interference.


9. Materials & Parts

  • Any materials supplied remain our property until paid for in full.

  • Manufacturer warranties apply where relevant.


10. Emergency Work

  • Emergency services are subject to availability.

  • Immediate work may be carried out without a formal written quote.
